Pretoria Capitals pulled off a stunning 21-run win against Paarl Royals in the Betway SA20, defending a below-par 138/9 at a sweltering Boland Park.

Sherfane Rutherford top-scored with an unbeaten 42, while Capitals’ bowlers delivered a collective masterclass. Lungi Ngidi, Lizaad Williams, Gideon Peters and Keshav Maharaj combined to restrict the Royals to 117/6. David Miller’s 45 briefly raised hopes, but tight bowling at the death sealed the result.
