Hesson Admits Pakistan Hurting After 61-Run Loss to India
Pakistan head coach Mike Hesson admitted his side were “hurting” after a crushing 61-run defeat to India in their T20 World Cup clash at the R. Premadasa Stadium.
India posted 175/7 before bowling Pakistan out for 114. Ishan Kishan’s 77 proved decisive, while Jasprit Bumrah’s early strikes left Pakistan reeling at 13/3. Usman Khan’s 44 offered brief resistance.
The loss worsened Pakistan’s World Cup record against India to 1-8. Hesson defended the decision to bowl first and urged his team to regroup ahead of their must-win match against Namibia.
