Namibia Stun South Africa by 18 Runs in Thrilling T20I Opener

Namibia pulled off a stunning 18-run victory over South Africa in the opening match of the Tri-Nation T20I series in Windhoek on Friday.

After posting 163/9, Namibia restricted the Proteas to 145/9 to register a memorable win and move 2-0 ahead in their head-to-head record. Jan Frylinck top-scored with a superb 60, while Louren Steenkamp added 41 as the hosts raced to 84/0 in 9.4 overs. South Africa’s chase struggled early before Dewald Brevis revived their hopes with an impressive 75. His 47-run partnership with Duan Jansen brought the equation down to 31 from 13 balls, but Ruben Trumpelmann dismissed Brevis to swing the match back Namibia’s way.

Trumpelmann and JJ Smit claimed three wickets each as Namibia sealed victory.
