Mitchell Starc Set To Miss Early IPL 2026 Matches Amid Heavy Australia Schedule

Delhi Capitals are likely to miss Mitchell Starc at the start of IPL 2026, as Cricket Australia manages his workload ahead of a demanding schedule. Australia could play up to 21 Tests in a 12-month period from August, including major tours of South Africa, India and England, followed by the 2027 ODI World Cup.

Starc, bought for INR 11.75 crore in last season auction, leaves a big gap in Delhi’s attack. Meanwhile, Pat Cummins and Josh Hazlewood will also miss the early phase, while Nathan Ellis is ruled out injured.
