Markram Powers South Africa to Nine-Wicket Win Over West Indies
Skipper Aiden Markram struck an unbeaten 82 as South Africa crushed West Indies cricket team by nine wickets in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Super 8s at Narendra Modi Stadium on Thursday.
Chasing 177, the Proteas romped home in just 16.1 overs, with Quinton de Kock (47) and Ryan Rickelton (45) providing strong support.
Earlier, Romario Shepherd’s 52 and Jason Holder’s 49 rescued West Indies to 176/8 after early strikes from Kagiso Rabada and Lungi Ngidi.
With this win, South Africa have become the second team after England to enter the semi-finals of the 2026 T20 World Cup.
