Marco Jansen’s 4-22 Powers South Africa To 76-Run Win Over India
Marco Jansen claimed 4-22 as South Africa thrashed India by 76 runs in the T20 World Cup Super Eights at Narendra Modi Stadium on Sunday.
After slipping to 20/3, South Africa recovered through David Miller (63) and Dewald Brevis (45) to post 187/7.
India’s chase collapsed to 51/5 despite Shivam Dube’s 42, eventually folding for 111. Jasprit Bumrah’s 3-15 went in vain as Aiden Markram’s bowlers executed plans perfectly, ending India’s 12-match T20 World Cup winning streak in emphatic fashion.
“Great performance. Very different type of wicket to what we’ve had here, so great to see the boys assess that pretty early and adapt their skills to execute their plans. We’re really pumped for the bowling group,” Markram said in the post-match presentation ceremony.
