Lhuan-dre Pretorius Hits T20I Century as South Africa Beat Namibia
Lhuan-dre Pretorius smashed his maiden T20I century as South Africa defeated Namibia by 11 runs to qualify for the T20I Tri-Series final in Windhoek on Friday.
Pretorius scored 101 off 53 balls, including five fours and eight sixes, while Connor Esterhuizen blasted 88 off 40 deliveries as South Africa posted a formidable 228/4. The pair added 156 runs for the opening wicket to put the Proteas firmly in control. Namibia responded strongly through Louren Steenkamp and Jan Frylinck, who shared a 119-run opening stand. Frylinck smashed 72 off 36 balls at a strike rate of 200, while Steenkamp contributed 61 before retiring hurt.
Despite their spirited chase, Namibia finished 11 runs short. South Africa will now face Zimbabwe in the final.
