Wolvaardt’s unbeaten 92 seals series win for South Africa Women
Laura Wolvaardt continued her sensational form with an unbeaten 92 off 56 balls as South Africa women’s team defeated India by 23 runs in the fifth T20I at Willowmoore Park to seal the series 4-1.
Wolvaardt’s knock, featuring 11 fours and two sixes, helped South Africa post 155/6 and took her tally to a record 330 runs in the series — the most by any batter in a women’s T20I bilateral series.
In reply, India faltered early despite Bharti Fulmali scoring 40, managing only 132/8 in 20 overs.
