Lakshya Sen Marches Into Australian Open Super 500 Semifinals
Lakshya Sen stormed into the men’s singles semifinals of the Australian Open Super 500 after defeating fellow Indian shuttler Ayush Shetty in straight games at Sydney Olympic Park. The seventh seed claimed a hard-fought 23–21, 21–11 win to set up a semifinal clash with World No. 9 Chou Tien Chen of Chinese Taipei.
Sen showed strong control in the second game despite early pressure from Shetty, who recently won the US Open Super 300. Earlier, Chou survived a tough three-game battle against Farhan Alwi. In men’s doubles, Satwiksairaj Rankireddy and Chirag Shetty exited after a defeat to Indonesia’s Fajar Alfian–Fikri pair.
