Harrison and Skupski Claim Maiden Australian Open Men’s Doubles Title
Hometown wildcards Jason Kubler and Marc Polmans continued their impressive Australian Open run by reaching the men’s doubles final with a 6-2, 3-6, 6-3 semifinal win over Luke Johnson and Jan Zielinski on Thursday.
Kubler, despite a bandaged knee, produced fearless shot-making and is chasing his second Melbourne doubles crown after winning in 2023. Polmans, who reached the semifinals in 2017, delivered a standout performance to book his maiden Grand Slam final.
The Australian pair showed resilience after a second-set dip, sealing victory with teamwork and composure under pressure.
