Jammu and Kashmir created history by clinching their maiden Ranji Trophy 2025-26 title after drawing the final against Karnataka cricket team. Though the match ended in a draw, J&K were declared champions on the basis of their first-innings lead.
Batting first, they piled up 584 runs, powered by centuries from Shubham Pundir (121) and strong contributions including 88 from Yawer Hassan.
In reply, Karnataka managed 293, despite 160 from Mayank Agarwal. Auqib Nabi starred with five wickets. In the second innings, Qamran Iqbal (160) and Sahil Lotra (101) guided J&K to 342 before declaration, sealing a historic triumph.
