India Women Win Beach Kabaddi Gold at Asian Beach Games
India’s women’s beach kabaddi team clinched the gold medal after defeating Sri Lanka 47-31 in the final of the Asian Beach Games in Sanya, China, on Monday.
The victory marked India’s sixth consecutive beach kabaddi title and their first gold medal of this edition. Earlier, India defeated Bangladesh 50-31 in the semifinals to secure a medal. The Sports Authority of India hailed the achievement, crediting the national coaching camp in Gandhinagar.
Meanwhile, the Indian men’s team also entered the final after beating Pakistan 50-27, assuring India of another medal. India will now aim for a double gold finish in kabaddi.
