India Women Beat Australia 2-0, Take 2-1 Lead In Perth Hockey Series

The India women’s national field hockey team produced a disciplined all-round performance to defeat Australia women’s national field hockey team 2-0 in the third match of the four-game friendly series at Perth Hockey Stadium on Friday.

After a goalless first half dominated by strong defending from both sides, India broke the deadlock in the third quarter through Sonam’s field goal in the 36th minute. The visitors maintained control in the final quarter, with Lalremsiami scoring another field goal in the 49th minute to seal the victory. With the win, India now lead the series 2-1 after bouncing back from defeat in the opening game. Earlier, India had levelled the series with a thrilling shootout win in the second match.

The final game will be played on Saturday in Perth.
