India Lose to Spain 3-4 in Shootout After Late Equaliser in FIH Pro League
India suffered a narrow 3-4 shootout defeat to Spain after a 1-1 draw in the FIH Men’s Pro League Hobart leg on Tuesday.
Maninder Singh gave India the lead with a brilliant tomahawk strike in the 19th minute, set up by skipper Hardik Singh. Spain equalised late through Bruno Font in the 59th minute to force a shootout. Goalkeepers Mohith and Suraj Karkera made crucial saves, but Spain held their nerve in the decider.
