Rain Washes Out Final T20I as India Clinch Series 2-1 Against Australia

India’s fifth and final T20I against Australia at The Gabba was washed out due to persistent rain and lightning after the visitors raced to 52 for no loss in 4.5 overs.

Openers Shubman Gill (29) and Abhishek Sharma (23), who became the second fastest Indian to reach 1000 T20I runs, gave India a brisk start before the weather intervened. With the abandonment, India sealed the five-match series 2-1, marking their fifth straight T20I series win over Australia.

Earlier, Abhishek survived two chances, while Gill struck six boundaries as India maintained dominance before the skies opened up.
