India Beat Afghanistan by Innings and 300 Runs
India strengthened their hold on the one-off Test against Afghanistan after declaring at 564/8 and reducing the visitors to 113/5 at stumps on Day 2.
Debutant spinner Manav Suthar impressed with figures of 3-21, leaving Afghanistan trailing by 451 runs. Earlier, captain Shubman Gill led the batting effort with 126, while KL Rahul scored 100 and Rishabh Pant added 81. Washington Sundar remained unbeaten on 52 as India posted one of their fastest 500-plus Test totals.
For Afghanistan, Rahmat Shah was unbeaten on 43. With Suthar and Prasidh Krishna striking regularly, India are firmly in control heading into Day 3.
