India Test squad for Sri Lanka
India have named a 15-member squad for the two-Test series against Sri Lanka, with veteran all-rounder Ravindra Jadeja returning after recovering from an elbow injury.
Pace spearhead Jasprit Bumrah and batter Sai Sudharsan have also been included, subject to fitness clearance. Shubman Gill will lead the side in India’s first World Test Championship (WTC) series since the home defeat to South Africa. Off-spinning all-rounder Saransh Jain has earned his maiden Test call-up, while KL Rahul, Yashasvi Jaiswal, Rishabh Pant, Mohammed Siraj and Kuldeep Yadav also feature in the squad.
The first Test will be played in Galle from August 15-19, followed by the second Test in Colombo from August 23-27.
