India Sweep Series 2-0 After Seven-Wicket Win Over West Indies in Delhi

India completed a 2-0 Test series sweep over West Indies with a seven-wicket win on day five of the second Test at Delhi’s Arun Jaitley Stadium on Tuesday.

Chasing 121, India resumed at 63/1 and reached the target within an hour, led by KL Rahul’s unbeaten 58 off 108 balls, including six fours and two sixes.

The win marked India’s first Test series victory under Shubman Gill’s captaincy and earned them 12 valuable points in the World Test Championship, taking their percentage to 61.9.

West Indies showed great resistance through centuries from John Campbell and Shai Hope, along with a gritty last-wicket stand that stretched the match to day five. However, India’s composed chase and Kuldeep Yadav’s eight-wicket haul on a slow Delhi pitch ensured a clinical finish.

The triumph also extended India’s dominance over West Indies, marking their tenth consecutive Test win against the Caribbean side.

Brief Scores:

India 518/5 dec and 124/3 in 35.2 overs (KL Rahul 58 not out, B Sai Sudharsan 39; Roston Chase 2-36, Jomel Warrican 1-39)

West Indies 248 and 390 in 118.5 overs (John Campbell 115, Shai Hope 103; Jasprit Bumrah 3-44, Kuldeep Yadav 3-104) by seven wickets
