Harmanpreet Praises Mandhana, Deepti and Richa After India Crush Pakistan by 64 Runs

India captain Harmanpreet Kaur lauded Smriti Mandhana, Deepti Sharma and Richa Ghosh after India opened their ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026 campaign with a dominant 64-run win over Pakistan at Edgbaston.

Mandhana anchored the innings with a brilliant 68, while Harmanpreet contributed 36 to help India post 170/6. Richa Ghosh provided the late fireworks with a quickfire 34 off 17 balls. In reply, Pakistan were bowled out for 106 in 17 overs as Deepti Sharma produced a career-best spell of 5/10 and N Sree Charani claimed 3/21.

Harmanpreet praised the trio for consistently delivering under pressure and expressed satisfaction with India’s overall performance, fielding effort and strong start to the tournament.
