Hardik Pandya calls for reset after Mumbai Indians slump against Punjab Kings
Mumbai Indians captain Hardik Pandya admitted the team must “go back to the drawing board” after suffering a fourth straight defeat in IPL 2026, losing to Punjab Kings at Wankhede Stadium. Despite a brilliant unbeaten 112 from Quinton de Kock and a half-century by Naman Dhir helping MI post 195/6, the bowlers and fielders failed to defend the total. Punjab Kings chased down the target comfortably, powered by Prabhsimran Singh and Shreyas Iyer.
Pandya conceded MI were outplayed in all departments and stressed the need for introspection. He hinted at possible tough decisions ahead, urging players to take responsibility and quickly address shortcomings.
