Finn Allen’s 33-Ball Century Blasts New Zealand into T20 World Cup Final

Finn Allen produced one of the most explosive knocks in Men’s T20 World Cup history, smashing an unbeaten 100 off just 33 balls to power New Zealand into the final with a nine-wicket demolition of South Africa at Eden Gardens.

Chasing 170, Allen hammered ten fours and eight sixes, registering the fastest century in men’s T20 World Cup history and the first in a knockout match. Tim Seifert’s brisk 58 complemented the assault as New Zealand raced to 173/1 in just 12.5 overs.

Earlier, Marco Jansen’s unbeaten 55 had lifted South Africa to 169/8, but Allen’s breathtaking blitz ensured a commanding chase and a second T20 World Cup final appearance for the Black Caps.
