Erling Haaland scored a dramatic late winner as Norway defeated Côte d’Ivoire 2-1 to reach the FIFA World Cup Round of 16 for the first time in the nation’s history.
Antonio Nusa gave Norway an early lead with a superb curling strike before Amad Diallo produced a brilliant solo goal to level the match in the second half. As the contest appeared destined for extra time, Haaland struck in the 86th minute, finishing off a fine team move to score his fifth goal of the tournament.
