England Women level T20I series as India collapse in 169-run chase
England women’s cricket team kept the three-match T20I series alive with a 26-run victory over India women’s cricket team in Bristol.
Chasing 169, India were well placed at 109/3 after contributions from Smriti Mandhana (32), Yastika Bhatia (33) and Harmanpreet Kaur (28). However, mounting pressure saw the visitors lose six wickets for 33 runs and finish on 142/9. Earlier, England posted 168/5 thanks to a stunning unbeaten 39 off 13 balls from Freya Kemp.
For India, debut-season spinner Sree Charani impressed with 3-25. England’s bowlers then shared the wickets to level the series 1-1 and force a decider.
