Duffy and Sodhi Star as New Zealand Edge West Indies by Nine Runs in Third T20I

Jacob Duffy and Ish Sodhi’s superb bowling powered New Zealand to a nine-run win over the West Indies in the third T20I at Saxton Oval, giving the hosts a 2-1 series lead.

Batting first, New Zealand managed 177/9, with Devon Conway (56) and Daryl Mitchell (41) top-scoring. Matthew Forde (2-20) and Jason Holder (2-31) led the West Indies’ attack.

In reply, the visitors slumped to 88/8 before Romario Shepherd (49) and Shamar Springer (39) staged a late fightback. However, Duffy (3-36) and Sodhi (3-24) sealed the win as the Caribbean side were bowled out for 168
