Medvedev Lifts Brisbane International Title to Start Season Strong
Russian star Daniil Medvedev made a powerful start to his season by winning the Brisbane International, defeating Brandon Nakashima 6-2, 7-6(1) in the ATP 250 final.
The victory marked Medvedev’s 22nd tour-level title, with each crown coming at a different tournament. The former World No.1 avenged his 2019 Brisbane final loss and became the first top seed to win the event since Roger Federer in 2015.
Medvedev sealed the win in one hour and 34 minutes and dedicated the triumph to his daughter, whose first birthday he missed due to travel.
