Cricket will make its long-awaited return to the Olympics at the 2028 Los Angeles Games, featuring both men’s and women’s T20 tournaments with six teams each, the ICC confirmed.
A total of 28 matches will be played from July 12 to 29, with medal matches on July 20 (women’s) and July 29 (men’s) at Pomona Fairgrounds. This marks cricket’s first Olympic appearance since 1900.
The ICC also announced a 10% funding increase for associate members from 2026 and plans for cricket’s inclusion in major multisport events like the 2026 Asian Games and 2027 African and PanAm Games.
