Ben Stokes Reportedly Weighing England Captaincy Future Amid Nightclub Probe
Ben Stokes is set to return to competitive cricket for Durham County Cricket Club in their County Championship clash against Worcestershire County Cricket Club, marking his first appearance since England’s Ashes defeat in Australia.
The England skipper, recovering from facial surgery and a groin strain, is expected to contribute with both bat and ball. Durham coach Ryan Campbell confirmed Stokes could even take the new ball in the absence of Kemar Roach.
The 34-year-old will likely bowl 20-25 overs as he builds fitness ahead of England’s three-Test series against New Zealand national cricket team starting in June.
