Litton Das Century Rescues Bangladesh Against Pakistan In Second Test
Litton Das produced a magnificent century to rescue Bangladesh after a dramatic top-order collapse on Day 1 of the second Test against Pakistan in Sylhet on Saturday.
Bangladesh were struggling at 116/6 before Litton counterattacked with a superb 126 off 159 balls, including 16 fours and two sixes, guiding the hosts to 278 in their first innings. He stitched valuable lower-order partnerships with Taijul Islam, Taskin Ahmed and Shoriful Islam to revive the innings. Pakistan’s pace attack, led by Mohammad Abbas and Khurram Shahzad, dominated the early exchanges but missed crucial review opportunities that could have changed the match.
In reply, Pakistan reached 21/0 at stumps, trailing Bangladesh by 257 runs in the second and final Test.
