Bangladesh Stun Australia by Nine Wickets for Historic Test Victory in Darwin

Bangladesh stunned Australia by nine wickets in Darwin to record their first-ever Test victory on Australian soil.

Chasing just 57 after bowling Australia out for 284, Bangladesh comfortably reached the target, with Mominul Haque hitting the winning boundary. Mehidy Hasan Miraz was the star with the ball, claiming 5-66 as Australia struggled against Bangladesh’s disciplined attack. Cameron Green scored a fighting 104, but lacked support as Australia collapsed from 161-4. Bangladesh had earlier bowled Australia out for 198 before making 426, led by Tanzid Hasan’s maiden Test century. Captain Najmul Hossain Shanto hailed the victory as Bangladesh’s biggest win in any format.

Australia captain Pat Cummins admitted Bangladesh had outplayed his side in all departments. The historic victory came on Bangladesh’s third Test tour of Australia.
