Babar Azam Reappointed Pakistan Test Captain Ahead of West Indies and England Tours
Babar Azam has returned to Pakistan’s ODI squad for the upcoming three-match series against Australia national cricket team after missing the Bangladesh tour earlier this year due to fitness concerns.
The star batter earned a recall following a strong PSL 2026 campaign where he scored 588 runs. Shaheen Shah Afridi will continue as captain, with Salman Ali Agha named vice-captain. Pakistan also welcomed back Haris Rauf, Naseem Shah, and Shadab Khan, while spinner Sufyan Moqim earned a comeback after finishing as the leading wicket-taker in PSL 2026.
