Mooney, Gardner Shine as Australia Thrash Netherlands by 98 Runs in Women’s T20 World Cup

Australia Women’s Cricket Team produced a dominant all-round performance to defeat Netherlands by 98 runs in the ICC Women’s T20 World Cup 2026.

Beth Mooney starred with 74 off 42 balls, while Ashleigh Gardner smashed 58 from 32 deliveries as Australia posted a record-equalling 219/6. Georgia Wareham added a blistering 41 to strengthen the total.

In reply, Netherlands managed only 121/3 despite an unbeaten 56 from Babette de Leede and 44 from Sterre Kalis. Kim Garth led Australia’s disciplined bowling effort with figures of 2/20 as the six-time champions secured their third victory of the tournament.
