Australia Crush England to Win Record Seventh Women’s T20 World Cup Title

Beth Mooney scored a brilliant 64 while Phoebe Litchfield contributed 48 as Australia defeated England by seven wickets to win the 2026 ICC Women’s T20 World Cup Final at Lord’s.

Chasing 151, the six-time champions reached the target in just 17.1 overs, securing a record-extending seventh Women’s T20 World Cup title. Mooney and Litchfield added a match-winning 100-run partnership that broke England’s resistance.

Earlier, Nat Sciver-Brunt remained unbeaten on 58, while Freya Kemp made 44 not out to help England post 150/4, but Australia’s dominant batting proved too strong in the final.

Brief Scores:

England 150/4 in 20 overs (Nat Sciver-Brunt 58, Freya Kemp 44, Alice Capsey 23; Lucy Hamilton 1-19, Kim Garth 1-20)

Australia in 153/5 in 17.1 overs (Beth Mooney 64, Phoebe Litchfield 48; Sophie Ecclestone 1-24, Charlotte Dean 1-28)
