Ashutosh Sharma has signed with Hampshire for the upcoming men’s One-Day Cup, marking his first stint in English county cricket. The 27-year-old batting all-rounder, who plays for Delhi Capitals in the IPL, has impressed with over 350 runs across the last two seasons at a strike rate of 170.
Hampshire Director of Cricket Giles White praised Ashutosh’s potential and recent IPL performances. The uncapped Indian gained national attention after smashing the fastest T20 fifty by an Indian in just 11 balls during the Syed Mushtaq Ali Trophy.
Meanwhile, Yuzvendra Chahal is also expected to feature in the tournament for Northamptonshire.
