Aryna Sabalenka retains World No. 1 as Elena Rybakina closes gap with Stuttgart title

Aryna Sabalenka continued her reign atop the WTA Rankings, starting her 79th consecutive week as World No. 1 despite skipping the Stuttgart Open.

Elena Rybakina narrowed the gap slightly after winning the Porsche Tennis Grand Prix, defeating Karolína Muchová in the final. Elsewhere, Mirra Andreeva climbed into the Top 10 after a strong run, while Muchová rose to No. 11. In Rouen, Marta Kostyuk claimed her second WTA title, beating Veronika Podrez in an all-Ukrainian final.

With the clay season intensifying ahead of French Open, Sabalenka remains firmly in control, though Rybakina continues to mount a strong challenge.
