Former India cricketer Anagha Deshpande has joined Delhi Capitals as assistant coach ahead of the 2026 Women’s Premier League season.
Her role will focus on batting and fielding as DC aim to win their maiden title after three runner-up finishes. Anagha will work alongside head coach Jonathan Batty, following the exits of Lisa Keightley and Milap Mewada.
A former India wicketkeeper-batter, Anagha brings rich coaching experience from Uttarakhand, where she guided several teams to historic successes. DC begin their WPL 2026 campaign on January 10 against Mumbai Indians.
