Alexandra Eala produced the biggest upset of The Championships, Wimbledon by defeating defending champion Iga Swiatek 7-6(9), 6-2 to reach the fourth round for the first time.
The 21-year-old saved two set points in a dramatic opening-set tie-break before dominating the second set with fearless baseline tennis. The victory makes Eala the first player from the Philippines to reach the second week of a Grand Slam. Her impressive run has also improved her record against Top-10 opponents to 7-4.
Eala will next face Jasmine Paolini for a place in the quarter-finals.
