Carlos Alcaraz Beats Etcheverry to Enter Monte-Carlo Quarters
World No.1 Carlos Alcaraz fought back strongly to defeat Tomás Martín Etcheverry 6-1, 4-6, 6-3 and advance to the Monte-Carlo Masters quarter-finals.
The Spaniard dominated the opening set but struggled with unforced errors in the second, allowing Etcheverry to level the match. Alcaraz regained composure in the decider, improving his shot selection and firing 13 winners to seal victory. He finished with superior serving and return stats, extending his clay-court winning streak to 15 matches.
The top seed now faces Alexander Bublik in the quarter-finals, keeping his title defence firmly on track after a hard-fought encounter.
