Afghanistan Beat West Indies in Warm-Up Encounter

Afghanistan secured a confidence-boosting 23-run victory over West Indies in a warm-up match after posting 182/6.

Openers Rahmanullah Gurbaz and Ibrahim Zadran gave a flying start, while Darwish Rasooli and Azmatullah Omarzai added quick runs in the middle.

In reply, West Indies faltered early as Omarzai and Mujeeb Ur Rahman struck regularly to reduce them to 54/5. Rovman Powell offered brief resistance before Matthew Forde’s unbeaten 52 and Jason Holder’s 25* sparked a late fightback. However, Afghanistan’s disciplined bowling ensured West Indies were restricted to 159.
