India opener Abhishek Sharma produced a spectacular innings in the Asian Games 2026 gold-medal clash against Pakistan at Karogi Sports Park on Saturday, smashing 61 off just 28 balls.
The left-hander struck seven sixes and three fours, reaching 400 T20 sixes during his explosive knock. He achieved the milestone in just 3,513 balls, making him the second-fastest player to 400 T20 maximums. Andre Russell holds the record, reaching the mark in 3,027 balls, while Chris Gayle took 3,557 deliveries.
Abhishek also created another major record by completing 100 T20 sixes in 2026. He reached the landmark in 651 balls, becoming the second-fastest player to hit 100 sixes in a calendar year. Russell leads this list as well, having achieved the feat in 589 balls in 2019.
India chose to bat first in the final and retained an unchanged playing XI, with Arshdeep Singh, Yash Thakur and Vipraj Nigam among the substitutes.
