Travis Head Stars As Australia Beat Zimbabwe By 84 Runs

Travis Head smashed 112 as Australia defeated Zimbabwe by 84 runs in the second ODI at Harare Sports Club to seal the three-match series 2-0.

After being asked to bat first, Australia posted 356/6, their highest ODI total against Zimbabwe. Head led the charge with 15 fours and three sixes, while Cooper Connolly scored 78 and captain Mitchell Marsh added 53. Teenage batter Oliver Peake provided a late flourish with 41 off just 18 balls, including three sixes in the final over.

Zimbabwe struggled to keep pace during their chase and were eventually bowled out for 272 in 48.3 overs. Captain Sikandar Raza top-scored with 45, while Australia’s Connolly, Mitchell Renshaw, Josh Hazlewood and Adam Zampa claimed two wickets each. Australia will face Zimbabwe in the third ODI on Sunday before travelling to South Africa.
