Shai Hope’s Century, Keemo Paul’s Five-Wicket Haul Help West Indies Beat India in 4th T20I

Shai Hope’s unbeaten century and Keemo Paul’s five-wicket haul powered West Indies to a 24-run victory over India in the fourth T20I in Hyderabad on Wednesday, levelling the five-match series 2-2.

Hope smashed 102 not out off 50 balls, while Sherfane Rutherford contributed an unbeaten 49 off 26 deliveries as West Indies posted 247/3 after being asked to bat first. Shimron Hetmyer also provided a quickfire 33 off 12 balls.

Chasing 248, India were bowled out for 223. Sanju Samson launched the innings with a half-century off just 20 balls, but Paul struck twice in his opening over, dismissing Samson and Ishan Kishan to shift momentum. Paul returned in the 19th over to complete his five-wicket haul with figures of 5/41.

Gudakesh Motie also made an impact, removing Abhishek Sharma and Naman Dhir in successive deliveries. Hope registered his second century of the series and third in T20 internationals. The result sets up a series-deciding fifth T20I in Bengaluru.
