PV Sindhu, Lakshya Sen Win Singles Titles at HYLO Open 2026

India celebrated a memorable double triumph at the HYLO Open 2026 as PV Sindhu and Lakshya Sen captured the women’s and men’s singles titles respectively at the BWF World Tour Super 500 tournament in Germany on Sunday.

Second seed Sindhu defeated Denmark’s Line Hojmark Kjærsfeldt 21-12, 21-14 in 39 minutes to claim the women’s singles crown. The Indian ace enjoyed a dominant campaign, winning every match in straight games without dropping a single game. The victory followed her runner-up finish at last week’s French Open and her Japan Open triumph earlier this year.

Sindhu also defeated fellow Indian Anmol Kharb in the semifinals, completing an impressive tournament. In men’s singles, Lakshya Sen overcame fourth seed Jonatan Christie of Indonesia 21-17, 21-10 in 39 minutes.

The victory earned Sen his first title of the season and levelled his head-to-head record against Christie. Both Indian shuttlers delivered commanding performances, underlining India’s growing strength in international badminton and making the German tournament a memorable occasion for the country.
