Netherlands Women Qualify for Los Angeles 2028 Olympics After Securing FIH Pro League Title
The Netherlands have virtually secured the FIH Hockey Pro League 2025-26 title, becoming the first women’s team to qualify for the 2028 Summer Olympics alongside hosts United States.
The Dutch side continued their dominance in world hockey by clinching a sixth Pro League title in seven seasons. Under the competition’s qualification system, Pro League champions earn an automatic Olympic berth. The Netherlands won all 11 matches they played this season and also benefited from an abandoned fixture against Argentina Women’s National Field Hockey Team.
With Olympic qualification secured, the reigning Olympic champions can now focus on preparing for a historic bid for a third consecutive gold medal at Los Angeles 2028.
