Mbappe Fires France Past Paraguay into FIFA World Cup 2026 Quarter-finals
Kylian Mbappe marked his 100th international appearance in style, scoring twice as France defeated Iraq 3-0 to secure a place in the FIFA World Cup 2026 Round of 32.
Mbappe opened the scoring in the 14th minute with a powerful strike before adding another after a defensive mistake gifted France possession. Ousmane Dembele also found the net, scoring his first-ever World Cup goal after being set up by Michael Olise.
Mbappe’s brace took his World Cup tally to 16 goals, moving him level with Miroslav Klose and ahead of Ronaldo in the all-time scoring charts.
