Kidambi Srikanth Crashes Out of Korea Masters, Tanvi Sharma Advances

Kidambi Srikanth suffered a first-round exit at the BWF Korea Masters 2026, losing 20-22, 21-14, 21-12 to Israel’s Daniil Dubovenko in the men’s singles. The defeat ended the former world No. 1’s campaign despite entering the tournament on the back of a runner-up finish at the US Open.

India’s Tanvi Sharma, however, progressed to the second round after defeating China’s Yuan An Qi and will face compatriot Shriyanshi Valishetty next.

In men’s doubles, Pruthvi Krishnamurthy Roy and Krishna Prasad Garaga upset fourth seeds from Thailand to reach round two, while Priya Konjengbam and Shruti Mishra exited.
